Just to add that we've been testing Google Sites rigorously over the past 5 hours and it hasn't given us any problems at all. We were considering spending several thousand on a database, CMS and web design. This is a real breakthrough for all small businesses, there's no reason not to at least try it.

Another Google classic!10 years ago we started using Yahoo! Geocities, and at the time it was pretty cool. But Geocities became outdated as competitors overtook them, and the adverts made the sites look very amateurish and unprofessional.Fast forward a decade, Geocities shuts down, and Google steps in with a far superior product. Google Sites are easy to set up, easy to edit, and easy to run. The templates aren't great, but HTML editing is allowed, and content is the king/queen anyway.
